Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
AutoAccident.co is operated by UMG, LLC, doing business as AutoAccident.co, 540 Main Street, Suite 12b, Hyannis, MA 02601. We provide accident information and an advertising-supported service through which people may request contact about connecting with a law firm. We are not a law firm or a medical provider.
For privacy questions, requests or appeals, email Contact@AutoAccident.co, call (617) 539-7610, or write to our address above, attention Privacy Requests. Do not include medical files, Social Security numbers or other unnecessary sensitive information in an initial request.
Information We Receive
When you use our request process, we receive the contact and accident information you submit. Depending on the fields you complete, this includes your name, telephone number, email address, state or city, accident date, whether an injury was reported, passenger information and your description. Please provide only the information needed for the requested response, and avoid identifying other people unnecessarily.
We also receive information associated with the request, such as the source page, referring page, campaign/source information, IP address, and records of the notice and contact permission presented with your submission. Web hosting and security systems may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. See our Cookie Notice for more about website technologies.
We receive messages you send us and information necessary to process a privacy or contact-preference request. If we later request additional information, we will explain its purpose at the relevant point of collection. This notice does not authorize collecting every type of information that might appear in a complete accident or medical file.
How We Use Information
We use information to receive and respond to the request you make, communicate about an appropriate connection, operate and protect the website, document permissions and preferences, address complaints, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not provide a legal assessment or determine whether a lawyer will accept a matter.
Our initial website request is directed to the AutoAccident.co operator. A request is not a public posting, a filing of a claim or a guarantee of delivery to a particular attorney. Before a further connection or disclosure, the relevant recipient and purpose must be identified. The Participating Law Firms and Media Relationships notice explains our commercial model and the relationship currently identified for Massachusetts.
We keep editorial article production separate from private intake. The site’s editorial AI workflow uses public-source material and public website content; it is not a channel for submitting your private claim records. General articles and automated editorial content are not legal advice.
Recipients And Service Providers
The website uses WordPress and WP Engine hosting to operate and store website information. Authorized operator personnel and service providers involved in hosting, security and communication may process information for the service. We may provide information to a law firm in connection with the response you request, subject to the recipient notice and permissions applicable to that disclosure. A law firm’s later handling of information is also governed by its own obligations and privacy notice.
Information may be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to fraud, security incidents, legal claims or protection of rights. If the business undergoes a transaction, applicable notice, purpose and permission restrictions continue to apply. These circumstances do not create permission for unrelated marketing or prohibited transfers.
An exclusive media relationship may concern advertising inventory, a campaign or geography. It does not itself establish that an inquiry is exclusive to one lawyer, that every lawyer participates, or that every media partner may receive your information.
Paid Relationships, Advertising And Privacy Choices
Commercial relationships can influence the advertising displayed and the availability of a participating firm. Payment for media services is not, by itself, a complete explanation of how a particular transfer is treated under privacy law. Applicable law may treat certain transfers for money or other value as a sale, or certain advertising transfers as sharing or targeted advertising.
Our current website request is for an operator response, not permission to distribute the inquiry to an undisclosed list of purchasers or to use injury information for unrelated advertising audiences. Any different collection, paid transfer or advertising use must be assessed and disclosed before it begins, with any legally required choice or permission. We do not use this policy update to enlarge earlier permissions retroactively.
Use Your Privacy Choices or the contact methods above to request an applicable sale, sharing or targeted-advertising opt-out, limit an applicable sensitive-data use, or ask how your information is handled. Statutory rights and required browser signals depend on applicable law and processing; a general policy statement does not expand a permitted use.
Injury And Consumer Health Information
An injury description or a related inference may be consumer health data even when the recipient is not a health-care provider. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice describes this information separately. We limit its purpose to the disclosed request and related necessary handling; general acceptance of Terms is not a substitute for a separately required health-data permission or sale authorization.
Do not assume that a message to AutoAccident.co is protected by attorney-client privilege or HIPAA simply because it concerns an injury. This statement does not remove protections that applicable law independently provides. Please avoid submitting detailed treatment records or highly sensitive documents through an ordinary inquiry form.
Calls, Messages And Preferences
The notice presented with your request explains the contact you are requesting. Submitting an inquiry is not permission for unrelated marketing by unidentified businesses. Any optional marketing program must use permissions and withdrawal methods appropriate to its actual channels and technology.
To ask AutoAccident.co to stop contacting you, email or call us using the details above. If a separate text or email program is offered, use its available STOP or unsubscribe mechanism as well. A business with which you communicate independently may have its own preference process. We retain limited suppression information when needed to prevent unwanted contact from resuming; deleting a preference indiscriminately could defeat that request.
Retention And Safeguards
Retention depends on why information was collected, whether the requested response is ongoing, applicable legal obligations and any relevant dispute or security need. We limit retention to those purposes rather than promising one period for every category. Consent and suppression evidence can require different treatment from an accident narrative. A valid legal hold is limited to the relevant records; it is not a reason to keep unrelated information indefinitely.
You may request deletion using the methods above. Applicable exceptions and another recipient’s independent obligations may affect what can be deleted. We explain relevant limits when responding; this notice does not promise immediate deletion of every backup or every independent law-firm record.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and service, restrict authorized access and review service-provider handling. No website or communication channel can be guaranteed completely secure. We address any required incident notice according to the circumstances and applicable law, rather than applying one invented nationwide deadline.
Requests, Verification And Appeals
You may contact us about access, a copy, correction, deletion, recipient information, contact preferences or other applicable privacy choices. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify a request or an authorized representative’s authority. Please do not send sensitive identification documents unless a necessary, appropriate process is arranged.
Where applicable law gives a right, we respond within its required periods, subject to permitted exceptions or extensions. If we deny a request, we explain relevant grounds as required. You may appeal by contacting us and identifying the prior request; we provide further regulator information where required. Exercising a protected privacy right will not result in treatment prohibited by law.
See State Privacy Information for jurisdiction-specific distinctions and official sources. Rights depend on the law, the activity and its coverage requirements; the state list does not claim that every statute applies to every interaction.
Minors And Requests For Another Person
The service is intended for adults. A parent, guardian or other authorized adult seeking help for someone else should provide only the minimum information necessary and disclose the representative capacity. We do not invite children to submit their own sensitive information through general intake. Contact us if you believe information about a child was supplied without appropriate authority so we can assess the required response.
Our intended service territory is the United States. A nationwide information page does not establish that a participating lawyer is available in every state. A third-party site linked here handles information under its own notice.
Public Articles And Policy Updates
Public incident reporting may draw on official public releases and other identified sources. It is separate from private intake. Contact us about a factual correction or privacy concern; identify the page and the issue without sending unnecessary sensitive material. A source’s public availability does not authorize every later use, and a removal request is evaluated in context.
Changes to this policy will be identified by an updated effective date. A material new purpose may require additional notice or permission before use. This policy operates with the specific notices shown in a request flow and does not override a non-waivable legal protection.
